The Pearson Test of English Academic is a computer-based examination that assesses the Listening, Reading, Speaking, and Writing abilities of non-native English speakers. Numerous prestigious academic institutions worldwide, such as Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and Yale University, recognize the PTE score as valid. This targets demonstrating the candidate’s English proficiency to gain admission to English-speaking universities or as evidence of their language competence for visa applications. The PTE Academic test is recognized for student visa applications and immigration processes in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.
There are three primary types of PTE examinations: PTE General, PTE Academic, and PTE Young Learners. The PTE General, also known as the London Tests of English General, assesses a candidate's fluency in real-life scenarios. The PTE Academic is for students looking forward to studying abroad and 18 years or older. The PTE Young test is for young students between 7-12 years of age who are learning English as a foreign language.
